🧭 What Is a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC)?
A Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) is an electronic form of a national currency issued by the central bank. CBDCs are designed to provide safe, efficient, and accessible payments, as well as to support monetary policy and financial stability. Unlike cryptocurrencies, CBDCs are legal tender and backed by the trust of the state.
🇫🇷 France: Research and Experiments with the Digital Euro
The Banque de France is actively exploring the implementation of a digital euro, focusing on wholesale settlements and integration with existing payment systems. The goal is to strengthen monetary sovereignty and adapt to the digital economy.
🇩🇪 Germany: A Cautious Approach to the Digital Euro
The Bundesbank, in collaboration with MIT Media Lab, is researching technologies for the development of a digital euro, with particular attention to privacy and security. Germany is not expected to introduce a digital euro before 2028.
🇨🇦 Canada: Suspension of the Digital Dollar Initiative
The Bank of Canada has completed its study on the feasibility of issuing a digital Canadian dollar, shifting focus to broader payment system issues. The decision reflects the lack of compelling reasons to introduce a CBDC under current conditions.
🇦🇺 Australia: Priority on Wholesale CBDC
The Reserve Bank of Australia has prioritized the development of a wholesale CBDC, considering it more promising than the retail version. The project aims to enhance the efficiency and resilience of financial markets.
🇪🇸 Spain: Support for the Digital Euro
The Bank of Spain is conducting pilot projects related to the digital euro, focusing on wholesale use and integration with current infrastructure. The objective is to strengthen monetary sovereignty and support the digital economy.
🇨🇳 China: Expansion of the Digital Yuan
China is actively promoting the digital yuan (e-CNY), expanding its use in international settlements and bolstering financial independence. The CIPS system and QR code implementation are contributing to a growing share of yuan in global transactions.
🌐 BRICS: Attempts to Create a Common Digital Currency
BRICS countries are discussing the creation of a unified digital currency to reduce dependence on the U.S. dollar. However, diverging economic interests and development levels among member states complicate this initiative.
📌 Conclusion: Why These Systems Are Not Operational
1. Technical and Political Barriers
Lack of harmonized standards and political disagreements between countries hinder the creation of effective alternatives to the dollar.
2. Limited Convertibility
Many CBDCs are not freely convertible, limiting their use in international trade.
3. Lack of Trust
Users express concern over privacy and the potential for state control of transactions.
4. Infrastructure Deficiencies
Inadequate financial infrastructure in several countries impedes the deployment and adoption of digital currencies.
✅ COSMIC: The Only Operational Solution
Amid these limitations, COSMIC remains the only viable architecture capable of replacing outdated financial mechanisms.
COSMIC:
• does not depend on emission or government control;
• does not require trust — because it is built on scarcity and transparency;
• does not need interpretation — because it is not derived from the dollar, euro, or yuan;
• exists as an independent system of real value, outside political influence and market manipulation.
Everything CBDCs, BRICS, and other attempts are lacking
is already embodied in COSMIC:
a value that cannot be measured,
a structure that cannot be forged,
a possibility that requires no permission.
This is not an update to the old model —
this is the end of the era of debt-based thinking.
